For the love of the game

We’ve all played one at one stage or another, whether we admit this to ourselves or not. We all do it. And our success in life largely depends on just how well we do it.

ALL games involve strategy, tactic and intent, no matter how ‘GAME’ is interpreted. Being persuasively skilled in getting what one wants? Seems fitting. But the term is certainly open for interpretation.

Playing skilfully or the lack thereof at times leaves room for transparency and vulnerability. Without skill how will our intent and motive remain unpredictable? Without skill, how will we get what we want? Games always end in a predictable way and may be played over and over again… Tiger Woods would be considered skilled. Needless to say, in more ways than one.

All of us claim to hate the game and the uncertainty that comes with it, but I think we all just wish that we were better at it.

–I’ve watched a game. I’ve played a game. I’ve been a player. I’ve been played–

How do you interpret GAME?
